These medicines are made from natural materials like herbs and minerals. The ingredients undergo a purification process before they get added to the medicine. So ayurvedic medicines are safe to consume. In addition to this the dosage that is to be taken is calculated by the doctor after taking a look at the ailments, its degree of severity and the condition of the patient. So if you take it as per the instructions of your doctor there would be no side effects.

An important thing to remember here is Ayurvedic treatment is a holistic treatment process that aims to get to the root of the problem. This means just taking the medicine does not complete the treatment process. We need to remember that we would also have to follow a proper diet that has been recommended by our doctor. We might have to avoid certain foods that might make our condition worse. Not following these steps might also result in adverse effects.

There is a reason for this. Ayurvedic treatment tries to cure a patient at a holistic level. It doesn't just aim to provide relief to its symptoms but aims to get to the root of the problem. A permanent solution. It is for this reason that ayurvedic treatment takes time.

So the longer that you have had the disease the longer it takes to cure it. The more severe it is the longer it takes. As long as you follow the instructions told by the doctor then your treatment is bound to show benefits in a short period of time.
